حوار خاص جداً
يحمل عمل علام السمعى الجوال عنوان "حوار خاص جداً " . يقوم على ملاحظة ديناميكية الرجل-المرأة وثقافة الشباب وكورنيش النيل. العمل مستوحى من درجات الحميمية واظهار الحب (المحتشم للغاية) بين ازواج الشباب على ضفاف النيل. يصور إنشاء علام السمعى تسجيلاً لمحادثة خيالية فى علاقة شاب بخطيبته. أعطى علام توجيهات للمثلين (احدهما محترف والآخر هاوٍ) لكنه ترك لهم حرية الإرتجال. اذيعت المحادثة الخاصة فى عدة مواقع على الكورنيش، كتجل سمعى لصورة قاهرية متعارف عليها لتمتصها ضوضاء وسط المدينة على الفور. فى نفس الوقت، إذا اقتربنا من مصدر الصوت (محادثة نشأت من سلويت لزوج من العاشقين) سنتمكن من سماع الحوار السرى. يتضمن هذا الإصدار فقرة من المحادثة تظهر بعض القضايا والديناميكيات الخاصة التى تطغى على العلاقة بالجنس الآخر فى المجتمع المصرى.
A Very Private Conversation
A mobile sound piece is entitled "A Very Private Conversation". It is based on observation of male-female dynamics, youth culture and the Nile Corniche. Inspired by the levels of intimacy and public display of affection (highly modest) between young couples populating the banks of the Nile, audio installation presents a recording of a fictional dialogue in an imaginary relationship between a young man and his fiancée. Two actors, an amateur and a professional, were given guidelines for the conversation, but left to improvise accordingly. As an aural manifestation of this recognizable Cairene image, their intimate dialogue was emitted in various locations on the Corniche becoming organically and immediately absorbed into the overall cacophony of Downtown. At the same time if one got closer to the the source of the sound, the conversation carved out the siluette of the loving couple and one could listen to a secret conversation that would not have been accessible otherwise , revealing many of the peculiar topics and dynamics that dominate gender relations within Egyptian society.

بدايةً لقد صار أمرأ متعارفأ عليه لدى الكثير من مرتادى الشبكة والباحثين، هذه العملية البسيطة والتى صارت أبسط فى تقنياتها من خلال توفير كل وسائل وأدوات البحث التعددى بكل اللغات الناطقة واللغات الرقمية أيضأ فى بعض المؤسسات الشهيرة او أهم محركات البحث وعلى رأسها الان جوجل .Google
لقد تعاملت مع هذا المصطلح "المكان" وهى عنوان المسابقة وموضوع المعرض، ولما كانت المسابقة تعنى بمكان معين له صفات وطبيعه خاصة، فقد قررت استخدام الكلمة "المكان" لما لها من صفات الشمولية - المطلق - الفيزياء - الميتافيزيقا، وهذا ما سوف أكتشفه او ماسيؤكده او سينفيه البحث عن الكلمة فى جوجل من خلال النص – الصورة، اما الفيديو قمت بإستخدام يوتيوب.
وعلى عكس المتوقع لم تكن النتائج غزيرة ووافية بالحد الذى كنت أتخيله، وانما لاحظت أن الكلمة تتغير بعد ثالث أو رابع صفحة من نتائج البحث ، فقد بدأت فى فقدان بعض الحروف مثل (ال)التعريف او زيادة أحرف مثل "المكانى" او قد تتغير معالم الكلمة إلى الأمكنة أو اللامكان .. الخ
فى هذه العمل أو بالأحرى فى هذه النتائج "النص - الصورة - الفيديو" لاتوجد أى رسائل أوأهداف أو معانى مستترة وراء ترتيب تلك النتائج وإن وجدت فهذا محض الصدفة وغير مقصود على الأطلاق.
العمل فى النهاية هو هو مجرد أطروحة لفكرة بسيطه فى تكوينها البصرى ولكنها معقدة للغاية فى تركيبها الفيزيائى على الشبكة ، أيضأ ترتيب العرض هو نفس الترتيب الموجود على الشبكة فى محرك البحث وهى أول النتائج التى ظهرت، أى انها اشهرها وأكثرها رواجاً فى ساعته وتاريخه20 أغسطس ، الساعة 1م.
To begin with, it has become known to many internet users and researchers that this simple operation (the internet) has simplified even further in it’s accessibility through the availability of numerous channels and research tools in all spoken and digital languages in some eminent institutions of which “Google” is at the lead.
I have come to use this term, “The place” or “El Makan”, which is the title of the competition and topic of the exhibition, and since the competition entails a specific place with a specific nature and characteristics, hence I decided to use the word “The Place” in view of its overall, comprehensive characteristics-the absolute-the physical-the metaphysical- thus leading to a discovery, confirmation or negation of what the research reveals about the word in “Google” through the text-image or video that I have used from U tube.
Contrary to expectation, the results were not as dense and contained as I had imagined. However, I realized that the word starts to change after the 3rd of 4th page from the research results for it starts to lose some letters such as “El” (the), it’s generally agreed upon reference, or addition of letters such as “El Makani” or change to the general features of the word to “El Amkena” or “El Amaken” and so on.
In this work or rather in these results found in “text-image- video” there are no messages, aims or meanings hidden behind their sequential order and if that is to be found then it is pure coincidence and in no way deliberated. The work at the end is basically a suggestion of a simple idea in its visual formation, but at the same time very complex in it’s physical installation on the internet. Also the sequence of presentation is the same as that which appeared on the internet through the search engine and it is in fact the first displayed results, actually it is the first and most known in it’s hour dating 20th August, 1pm.

المجنون الأخضر من الأعمال الشهيرة للجزار والتى تناولها السيوى وأعاد صياغتها ليصبح عملا شهيراً أيضاً ، تأتى محاولة علام ليستخدم عمل السيوى فى طرح تساؤل عن نقل العمل الفنى وإعادة صياغته وربما ملكيته أيضاً.
El Magnoon El Akhdar is arguably the most famous painting by Al Gazzar. El Siwi's Homage to Al Gazzar is a reworked version of the same painting, which came to be as famous as Al Gazzar's.
Allam attempts to reuse the Homage to Al Gazzar to raise the question of copying, reproduction and ownership.

Mohamed Allam and oMhamed Abdelkarim spent three months during 2011 in St. Gallen, Switzerland within Pro Helvetia's artist in residence program. As a closing event of their stay they presented an audio visual performance at the lobby of the Kunst Halle, consisting of the experimental electronic sounds of Abdelkarim and a glimpse into the visual world of Allam, which they have been developing during their close collaboration in Switzerland.
